Company History

N.E.P. Realty and Industry Public Company Limited began its operations on July 2, 1953, under the name North East Jute Mill Company Limited, with an initial registered capital of 10 million baht, focusing on the manufacturing and distribution of jute products.

Later, on August 6, 1959, the company was transformed into a state enterprise, with the Ministry of Finance becoming the majority shareholder.

The company was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on July 16, 1987, becoming the first state enterprise in Thailand to be privatized.

Later, in 1991, the company expanded its product line to include plastic packaging products, offering an alternative packaging solution to meet customer needs.

In 1994, the company was registered as a juristic person under the Public Limited Companies Act, and adopted the name
“N.E.P. Realty and Industry Public Company Limited.”

In 2007, due to declining market demand and a shortage of jute raw materials, the company discontinued its jute product manufacturing operations in accordance with the resolution passed at the Board of Directors’ Meeting No. 10/2550 on September 19, 2007.

Since then, the company’s core products have consisted solely of plastic packaging.

In 2011, the company relocated its manufacturing facility from Chor Hor Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, to the Nava Nakorn Industrial Promotion Zone in Soong Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, on a total land area of 19 rai, 3 ngan, and 45 square wah (approximately 30,520 square meters).

Currently, the facility includes:

  • Office Building: 600 square meters

  • Production Building 1 (Flexible Packaging): 3,600 square meters for flexible packaging production

  • Production Building 2 (Finishing): 2,900 square meters for printing, laminating, cutting, and sewing

  • Production Building 3 (Tape Yarn & Woven Fabric): 3,600 square meters

  • Warehouse: 600 square meters and Canteen

The total production area is 10,100 square meters.

In 2016, the company sought and received shareholder approval to issue 965,518,334 rights offering (RO) shares to existing shareholders. A total of 416,819,746 shares were successfully subscribed.

The capital raised was intended for business expansion, specifically the addition of a new flexible packaging production line. The capital increase was approved by resolution of the shareholders’ meeting.

In 2017, the company invested in machinery for the flexible packaging production line, including facility upgrades to support operations and the recruitment of specialized personnel for this production segment.

Production began in May 2017, with a total capacity of 1,000,000 meters per month (based on a single shift). The company was able to generate sales that aligned with the production capacity, which continued to grow steadily.

In 2020, the company sold one plastic tape yarn extruder and fifty-nine plastic sack weaving machines—used in the production of woven sack fabrics—to Wawa Pack Co., Ltd.

In 2022, the company terminated its machine rental and plastic sack printing services provided to Wawa Pack Co., Ltd., and sold eight items of related machinery and printing equipment to the same company.

While the company continued to sell plastic sacks to customers, it shifted from in-house production to outsourced manufacturing, aiming to improve cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.

On February 23, 2024, the company officially ceased the production and distribution of plastic sacks and flexible packaging products.

Subsequently, on June 30, 2024, the company acquired the business of Vava Z Co., Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of products under the VAVA Z brand, which operates under a circular upcycling model.

The company will begin recognizing revenue from this new business on July 1, 2024, marking the launch of a new environmentally focused business strategy, with plans to expand the VAVA Z brand into other product lines in the future.
