The Company commenced operations on July 2, 1953 (B.E. 2496) under the name Krasob Isan Co., Ltd. (NORTH EAST JUTE MILL COMPANY LIMITED) . In 1959 (B.E. 2502), it was transformed into a state enterprise, and was subsequently listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on July 16, 1987 (B.E. 2530).
The Company is recognized as the first state enterprise to be privatized into a private company. It currently operates under the name "NEP Realty and Industry Public Company Limited."
